Pepperjam Affiliate Network Reviews, Pros & Cons
Pepperjam Network has been around for 2 decades.
It started as an e-commerce business founded by friends from college looking to sell peppery jelly. They then converted it into an affiliate network that was later acquired by eBay.
eBay decided to rename it. They went for the name eBay Enterprise Affiliate Network.
They then restructured Pepperjam affiliate network completely.
Here Is My Pepperjam Affiliate Network Review
Pepperjam Login & SignUp
In order to become a Pepperjam Partner, you first need to choose one of available affiliate streams:
- Brand or Advertiser
- Publisher or Influencer
- Agency or OPM
Then, you need to click on the orange button, provide them with your contact information and details about your site and business.
You will then need to complete the Publishing Channels section, selecting your company category, indicating your traffics sources and methods as well as stating what social media platforms you are using.
Moving on to your Payment Details, there is only one option that is Paypal. You can however, select your preferred currency for your payments.
Finally, accept the terms & conditions and proceed with submitting your application.
What Products Can You Promote?
There are a number of big brands listed on this affiliate network covering most niches.
Here are some examples:
- 888 Casino
- BBC Shop
One negative aspect I found, is that there are less than 1,000 advertisers on the network so for some affiliates this might not be sufficient. It really depends on your niche.
How To Operate Pepperjam
Pepperjam’s dashboard is very user-friendly.
On the left-hand side, you’ll find your primary functions such as advertisers, creatives, tools, reports, resources and settings.
On the top menu, you’ll find your non-essential functions such as earnings, customer support, mail, feedback, account details and log out.
Overall, it looks neat (spending too much time watching the Buttery Bros on YouTube!) and not cluttered at all.
Finding Affiliate Programs On Pepperjam Network
It is fairly easy to find affiliate program on the Pepperjam network although, there seems to be room for improvement.
You need to go the main menu on the left-hand side, click on Advertisers and Find New Advertisers.
By default, you are searching for advertisers you have no relationship with but there are several filters you can use such as category, offer type, currency or countries to name a few.
A major drawback is that there is no information of the EPC of each program so there is no way to tell whether a program is profitable.
They also seem to have fewer advertisers listed than what they claim to have.
How To Create Affiliate Links
To create affiliate links click on My Advertisers on your main menu, choose the program you desire and select Get Creatives.
You have several options to choose from:
- Text links
- Advanced links
What really works well is that they provide you with the option to generate deep links to products and not just to a category or a homepage.
This way you can benefit from better conversion rates.
You can also use the Pepperjam link generator tool creating affiliate links to any page of an advertiser’s site.
Once you are ready, click on Get code and a pop up window will appear with your racking URL and product code.
How To Get Paid
Let’s take a look at how you can get paid on Pepperjam network.
You can get paid on the 1st and 15th of each month or depending of how the weekend falls, on the closest possible date.
On average, allow for net 60 days payments.
Ways To Get Paid
The only option you’ve got really is Paypal.
You can email them to set up direct deposit or check but need to through a manual process indirectly, forcing you to go for Paypal.
Is There A Payment Threshold?
To receive an affiliate payment, you need to earn at least $25 in commissions.
Pepperjam Publisher Support
They seem to have done a great job with their publisher support.
Instead of using a generic contact form, like in most cases, you can use actual email addresses or call them.
They have also published a number of articles aimed at both publishers and advertisers.
If you have a question about an affiliate program, you can use the Advertiser Mail function to contact them directly.
I really struggled to find Pepperjam network reviews.
Here is one where they received a late payment.
And another one where they were dissatisfied with customer support.
It seems like there is not much information from Pepperjam users out there. Only isolated complaints can be found so cannot really rely on these findings.
Pepperjam Pros & Cons
Now that we’ve reviewed the Pepperjam affiliate network in detail, let’s have a look at their pros and cons.
- Solid big brands range
- User friendly affiliate dashboard
- Affiliate link generations tools
- Quick and easy sign-up process
- Very limited payment methods
- No EPC metrics available
My view on Pepperjam affiliate network is kind of mixed.
The list with the pros is long however, forcing users to go for Paypal and not making EPC metrics available is odd.
I will leave the decision of whether to join Pepperjam as an affiliate to you.
