Team National MLM Program Legit Or A Scam?
You may have heard of the company Team National and wanted to learn more.
You might have had times in your life when you wished you could make a side income.
You might have business or personal expenses and without a support system, you are paying more than you can afford.
This is one reason why companies like Team National are appealing.
But is Team National legit or yet another pyramid scheme scam?
Let’s find out in this Team National Review
Things To Consider Before Using A Network Marketing Company
MLMs work by recruiting members for direct sales. This means that people who sign up for a membership, usually known as representatives or distributors, are responsible for person-to-person sales.
This does a couple of essential things. Firstly, it takes the cost and pressure off the company to grow and market itself. Its members are doing that, essentially for free.
Members are often rewarded for their membership with bonuses, perks, or select products not available to the public. These bonuses usually grow as distributors recruit more people to join the company.
If you become a distributor for an MLM, the people you recruit (and the people they recruit) become your “downline.” Your downline continues to earn you extra money every time they add new members.
This might sound perfect for people looking to earn more money from home. MLMs offer a way to make money and get access to unique private resources.
Before you sign up, however, there are a few things you should know. Most members of MLMs, no matter how successful, actually lose money.
When your paycheck depends on you recruiting other people into a membership, nothing is guaranteed. Only 25 percent of people who worked for MLM companies reported earning money. Of these, between 90 and 99 percent of people earned less than a few hundred dollars in a given year.
How Does Team National Work?
Team National is a multi-tier marketing company that started in 1997. The company offers a membership for small business owners. This membership qualifies them for discounts on select products and services.
What sort of products and services are we talking about?
The company offers discounts on a wide range of items. These include everything from home and auto insurance to home furnishings, household goods, and business expenses.
Some of these come in the form of cash rebates, while others are true discounts.
But that’s not all that the company offers. They market directly toward business owners by providing tips and training on how to succeed in business. Members qualify for these tips by recruiting other people into the company.
By establishing a downline, you get more access to bonuses like educational trips and cash rewards. Your earnings also increase the more people you recruit.
Pros of Team National
- No sales quota or inventory purchasing
- Good discounts on quality products
- An established name in multi-level marketing with a 23-year history
- Multiple ways to make money
Cons of Team National
- High membership fees
- Only 1.5 percent of members make a significant income
- Most members lose money
- Membership requires some recruiting to remain active
- Discounts are available for cheaper elsewhere
Features & Benefits
There are several features that Team National provides to its members. These vary to some degree based on membership level and the distributor rank you reach. But you can generally break the benefits into a few categories:
- Insurance savings
- Discounts and rebates
- Discounts on business services and expenses
- The Team National app
Team National helps its members access discounts on insurance for both personal and business needs. This could include car, homeowners’, business insurance, and more. These discounts might not necessarily be available to the public. If they are, they may not be advertised.
Team National’s insurance discounts are appealing because, simply put, it’s a way to save money. This is particularly helpful for small business owners who pay a lot of extra fees for business insurance. Since the company is marketed toward business owners, this can be an especially appealing incentive.
Types of business insurance that might qualify for discounts:
- General liability coverage
- Worker compensation
- Commercial car insurance
- Business income insurance
- Professional liability insurance
- Errors and omissions insurance
- Data breach insurance
- Professional liability insurance
- Employment practices liability insurance
- Management liability insurance
- Cyber liability insurance
Not every business needs all these types of coverage. But even general liability insurance can be expensive. Discounts programs like the one offered by Team National can help relieve some of your bank account’s stress as a small business owner.
Even if you don’t own a business or don’t need a discount on your company’s insurance plan — you can qualify for insurance discounts through Team National. Personal insurance is also eligible for partial coverage.
Discounts and Rebates
Team National offers a range of discounts on personal products. Most of these can be found at standard stores such as Target, Walmart, and more. Some of these come in the form of cashback rebates and some are true discounts.
Many of these discounts are for regular home items. You qualify for them merely by having a Team National membership.
Some larger discounts might be available for members who have a presidential membership. This is recommended for small business owners and can apply to business products and services.
These discounts can also apply to some unexpected purchases, such as hotels. Distributors also qualify for savings on cell phone plans, car rentals, and even vehicle purchases.
In short, these discounts are meant to relieve financial stress on members of Team National. Generally, members save between 1-2 percent on purchases at big brand names like Home Depot, Enterprise, Best Buy, and others. Some savings are even more significant.
Since small business owners often struggle with high out-of-pocket costs to keep their business running, these savings can make it easier to balance the budget.
Discounts on Business Services
Running a business involves a considerable number of expenses. It’s not only starting costs and overhead. Small business owners also have to pay for licenses, insurance, and other credentials, depending on their location.
Team National members can also qualify for discounts on other expenses. These include office supplies and furniture as well as employee health insurance plans. You may also be eligible for discounts on legal services if your business runs into trouble with the law (which it hopefully won’t).
The company claims that its members who are small business owners save about $2,000 on average. This is a significant savings for any small business and can significantly relieve the out-of-pocket costs of running a company.
These discounts might be the most appealing incentive of Team National. Even with the presidential plan, you will be close to breaking even with the money you save.
Team National App
Team National offers a mobile app for its members. This app provides company resources such as success stories, inspirational videos, and video campaigns.
These campaigns are intended to help active members recruit more people. The app even features a mobile sign-up page so you can start a downline right on your phone. Of course, that also makes it easy to track your downline, so the members that you recruit benefit your wallet as well.
The Team National app also offers members resources to connect them with more discounts and savings available only to them.
The app is marketed as a way to “keep business at your fingertips” in one unified platform.
So, is Team National a scam? It appears Team National Review’s members report satisfaction with the discounts and services that are available. According to these reviews, the savings are significant and the products are of good quality. Overall, Team National members seem satisfied with the products and discounts they get and find the membership fees a worthwhile investment.
This guy claims to have saved over $4,000 within 72 hours on his homeowners insurance and within just a week he won a free cruise.
This lady has joined Team National with her husband and seems excited with their savings and earnings as well as the support network of the program and the new friendships they have generated within it.
This member also saved and earned money and is pleased with the fact that he can others do the same
On the other hand, all the negative reviews I could find where from members who are stating they have made no money and the program is a burden for them but are not exactly mentioning any particulars so I would take their reviews with a pinch of salt.
If you decide that Team National isn’t a good fit but still want to learn more about similar alternatives, several companies offer comparable benefits.
Six Figure Mentors
Six Figure Mentors is an affiliate marketing company that offers e-Learning programs. These courses provide tips on business practices and marketing. The company claims that these courses can boost the income of small companies through better business practices.
These courses start by teaching attendees how to set up business websites, design email marketing campaigns, and sell products online.
The real emphasis is online marketing and web sales, as opposed to traditional sales. Six Figure Mentors does provide some real value in helping people build their business. Taking an e-Learning course is a cheaper and faster alternative to business school. It’s accessible to anyone willing to pay.
Similarities to and Differences from Team National
- Six Figure Mentors is a multi-level marketing as well
- Members of Six Figure Mentors appear not to be expected to recruit others but truth is this is exactly what they are to do!
- Six Figure Mentors has no direct sales element
- No offer of insurance or other discounts, but there is a wealth of resources for small business owners
- Range of prices available for different courses and resources
Suppose you want some useful resources for running a small business. In that case, Six Figure Mentors might be a good choice for you. Log on to their website to learn more about what they offer.
However, be aware of hidden fees and massive costs involved.

Amway is one alternative to a company like Team National. The company is a multi-level marketing network that sells a wide range of household products. These include beauty and health products as well as home cleaners and personal care.
Amway was founded in 1959. It expanded internationally in the 1970s. To this day, it is one of the most widely-known direct marketing companies in the world.
Amway distributors earn their money through direct sales of Amway products and by recruiting members into their downline. They also qualify for discounts on Amway household and beauty products in addition to other perks.
Similarities to and Differences from Team National
- Members sell physical products, not just memberships
- Amway membership costs significantly less
- Both companies offer discounts on home goods and insurance
- Amway members need to reach a sales quota to earn income
- Amway members also qualify for discounts on Amway products
While Amway differs from Team National in some ways, members may face similar challenges regarding the time and effort it takes to make income. However, if you have an abundance of time and drive, you may find it a good fit. Visit Amway’s website to learn more.
Avon is an international multi-level marketing company that sells cosmetics, fashion items, and health and beauty products. The company’s distributors recruit other members into their downline on top of making income through direct sales.
Avon is the second-largest multi-level marketing company in the world after Amway. Like most other direct sales companies, distributors earn more money and qualify for more benefits the more sales they make.
Like Team National, Avon distributors qualify for discounts on an extensive range of items. These include insurance plans, home goods, cell phones and laptops, and even scholarships.
Similarities to and Differences from Team National
- Members sell physical products through direct sales
- Members recruit others into a downline
- Both companies offer discounts on cell phone plans, home goods, insurance products, and more
- Avon offers low costs to become a member
While there are benefits to being an Avon representative in the form of discounts, you’ll need to work hard to earn income through direct sales. To learn more about the company, log on to Avon’s website.
Our official rating for Team National is 3/5. The company offers a lot of good savings on both personal and business products. Small business owners often struggle to keep afloat. These discounts can help by easing the costs of:
- Business supplies and services
- Insurance fees
- Personal items
However, it can be challenging to earn additional income as a member. It can be profitable, but it’s an investment that will take time and money to sustain.
